I'm glad Trey restacked this cuz I wanted to comment on it the first time. All of your endorsements are so meaningful, Zeru. And I'm even more excited about this book.

“He courageously marks the cultural impositions put on the Bible that pose themselves as divine revelation itself and invites us to ask ourselves why we think using the Bible as a tool to bolster dogmatism and domination ought to be the mark of Christian love.”

Yup. ☺️ That’s so true. Zeru, what a loving post this is. Cheering.

“This examination, this theologizin’, is not merely cerebral; it’s communal, imaginative, and constructive. In this process of listening to each other, we are blessed with methods of detangling ourselves from crusty hermeneutics and learning where we’ve missed out on the heart of God through the human beings around us.”

This is the story... this is the journey. This is the work of love being poured out.

It’s such a gift to know that there are others trying to “uncrust dogma, doctrine and interpretation.” Will stay connected to your work.

You know what? You just gave me an idea. I once saw a shirt that said, "All theology has an adjective" and when people ask me what type of theology I subscribe to my answer won't be any of the typical responses. Mine's gonna be "Uncrusted(ing?) Theology." Welcome to this space. Looking forward to following yours as well :)

Nice to meet you, ‘Ru. I like the way you write - I feel as if you’re speaking directly to me over a cup of coffee. I agree with your excitement - and not just because I’m Pastor Trey’s mother. ☀️💜☀️
